From Builder Basic to Beautiful

Craft Room Stage 1

Back in July I posted my mood board for the craft room inspiration. I am one step closer to a beautiful room and well within the functional room.

The room features separate areas for sewing, ironing, cutting, storage as well as housing the computer for the house.  Ignore the box in the corner, that hasn’t been unpacked yet.

In the left side of the picture you can see a cube storage system which will eventually house all of my fabrics so that they are all easy to see and quickly grab what I’m looking for.  I’m still trying to figure out the best method for how to lay that out.

In the back in the sewing table, complete with awesome patterned chair – which will compliment the curtains I have yet to sew and the walls I have yet to paint… That’s Stage 2 and Stage 3.

To the back right is the ironing board and to the right is the massive cutting table complete with table sized cutting mat.  It’s all set up so you grab your fabric – cross the room – cut the fabric – iron it – then sew.

Here is a closer up photo of the awesomeness that is the cutting table and the chair.  Having the computer in the room, is ok simply for the fact at how happy these chairs make me.  Seriously how can you not be happy looking at this chair?  It’s slightly different than the one in my original mood board, but it was on super sale and I think I actually like it better.

It’s a step in the right direction! I can’t wait to get the curtains sewed and hung, walls painted and a super girly sparkly chandelier of some sort to top it off.

What do you think?
